INDUCTED
into the U.S. Animal Rights Hall of Fame, 2001.

AT THE AGE OF 19
he was making headlines by leading and winning high profile campaigns to reduce the suffering of animals. Best known as the diplomatic and disarming "boy" co-founder of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, widely acknowledged as the most successful animal advocacy organization in the world. Responsible for unprecedented corporate, government, institutional and social changes improving the living and dying conditions for millions of animals.

LIKE SANTA CLAUS - NO ADDRESS NEEDED
Played a critical role in building the company he co-founded to the point where it is so well known that you can mail a letter from anywhere in the U.S. with only 'PETA' on the envelope, with no street, no city, no state, no zip code...and the letter will still be delivered on time.

ON THE TUBE....
as Chairman for 20 years he played a critical role in making his company name part of the country's vernacular -- it's been written into the scripts of scores of films and television shows (Boston Legal, The Practice, The Shield, Legally Blonde, etc., etc.) from a hard hitting HBO Special to entire episodes of comedy series such as The Simpsons and South Park.

RAISED
over $128 million for charity.

NEW YORK TIMES
.....he played an essential role in building his company to the point where of 10,000 animal protection organizations with well over 12 million members, PETA is tagged by The New York Times as the "mover and shaker" of the movement.

HARVARD AND THE 'FOLK HERO' .....
a hostile Harvard University study of the animal protection movement described him as a 'folk hero' for winning landmark cases for animals.

FROM THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ....
he and his company's work have been covered tens of thousands of times worldwide -- from half a dozen front page stories in the New York Times and Washington Post to the Soviet News Agency TASS, and from The National Enquirer to The Economist and every major media outlet in between.

CREWMAN OF THE YEAR
Has received many awards, his favorite prior to starting PETA was "Crew Member of the Year" while crewing aboard the 200 foot ship Sea Shepherd and sailing across the Atlantic Ocean on a search and destroy mission. The bow of the ship had been reinforced with tons of poured concrete as part of preparations to ram the world's most notorious illegal pirate whaling ship, the Sierra. Mission accomplished. A $60 million film is in the works.

FROM DORIS DAY TO WATERGATE
High profile contacts from Doris Day and the late Superman Christopher Reeves to President Nixon's infamous Watergate burglar FBI Agent G. Gordon Liddy to infamous Korean businessman Tongsun Park -- center of the 1970's Congressional influence-peddling scandal "Korea-gate" and indicted agent for Saddam Hussein in the U.N. oil-for-food scandal.

FROM CONGRESSMEN TOM LANTOS TO 'B-1 BOB' DORNAN
Proven ability to recruit and make essential business connacts with a wide spectrum of policy makers from the very liberal Congressman Tom Lantos (D-CA) on the left, to the very conservative Congressman "B-1 Bob" Dornan (R-CA) on the right.

FRIENDS AT THE A.M.A.
A Harvard University study of the animal protection movement was commissioned by his loyal opposition the American Medical Association, as part of the AMA's first $21 million campaign "to defeat" the animal protection movement.

BODY GUARDS
A proven successful tactician and strategist, his work is often dangerous -- requiring armed body guards and risking life and limb. Also the target of countless death threats and the recipient of blood soaked mutilated animal parts in the mail, amongst other things.

PROVEN ABILITY TO BRING IN
whoever is needed to accomplish the mission, and to successfully direct and manage criminal and civil attorneys in lawsuits nationwide -- from Hawaii to Boston, from L.A. to Florida, Michigan, New Orleans, D.C. Texas, Maryland, Reno, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Las Vegas, up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court -- twice.

The agony you see
in your mind,
they must endure
in their body.

While we can stop our discomfort
by turning the page...
...they will live in agony
until they are released
by their own death.

Sadly, Our Good Intentions
appear
Not Good Enough.

It falls to each of us
to do something. Anything!

Do whatever is easy for you!
If you have some time, give some time!
If you have some money, give some money!
If you have some contacts, give some contacts!

Victims -- human and animal --
need each one of us to pitch in.
